Honoring Roger England
A plaque honoring Roger England and his 40 years of dedicated service in Research at Vanderbilt Medical Center has been installed in the Medical Research Building 4 on the 12th floor. This plaque, which was provided by the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Research, represents our gratitude for the service and commitment Roger gave to Vanderbilt and the Department of Anesthesiology. The plaque is located at the entrance to the Eric Delpire lab at 1255 MRB4.
The Roger England Research Fund has been established in memory of Roger, whose tireless efforts as a research assistant in the Department of Anesthesiology set the standard in excellence in support of scientific investigation.
In addition, the Roger England Research Award will be presented yearly to a research staff member in the Vanderbilt Department of Anesthesiology during the annual Research Retreat in recognition of a significant contribution that promotes research excellence.
The 2008 recipient of the Roger England Research Award was Rebecca Morrison.
