A wide range of topics are covered, e.g., pyloric stenosis, reactive airway disease, sickle cell disease, diabetes mellitus, laryngeal surgery, chronic regional pain syndromes, Down syndrome, difficult airway management, muscular dystrophy, Hunter’s syndrome, anterior mediastinal masses, DNR orders, etc.
Journal Club
(Monthly conference for fellows, faculty, other trainees and staff.)
Format includes presentation, critique and discussion of recent articles relevant to the practice of pediatric anesthesia.
Conference Schedule
Morning conferences are held from 6:15-6:45 AM, Monday through Thursday. “Fundamentals of Pediatric Anesthesia” topics are usually scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday. “Pediatric Anesthesia Practice” and Case-Based Learning Discussions are usually held on Monday and Tuesday.
