Vanderbilt Department of Anesthesiology education and training programs integrate scientific and clinical advances with current clinical practice, preparing students, residents, fellows, and faculty for productive careers as clinicians, academicians and scientists. We offer medical clerkships that introduce students to anesthesiology and critical care and also provide critical skills training.
Our residents and fellows benefit from comprehensive training in all subspecialty disciplines of clinical anesthesiology. In addition, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine offers a wide spectrum of research training programs for residents, fellows, and junior faculty. Continuing medical education (CME) programs are offered for faculty and community physicians as well. Vanderbilt’s emphasis upon academic excellence encourages us to be at the forefront of scientific investigation and clinical practice and strengthens our commitment to education.
